Before your visit
A few minutes of preparation makes the visit itself more useful. Bring the right items, and the time with your clinician goes to the questions that matter.
What to bring
- Photo ID — a driver's license or government-issued ID.
- Insurance card — both sides, if applicable.
- Medication list — including doses and supplements. A photo of the bottles works.
- Recent test results — if they were done at another clinic.
- A short note — symptoms, when they started, and what makes them better or worse.
Booking
Book through the Find a doctor page, by phone, or in person at any clinic. Same-week appointments are available at most locations. If you need to cancel or reschedule, do it at least 24 hours ahead so the slot can be offered to another patient.
Before a procedure
For procedures that require preparation — fasting, stopping certain medications, or arranging a ride home — your clinician's office will send specific instructions through the patient portal. Read them the day before, not the morning of.
During your visit
Arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time. The front desk will confirm your details, scan your insurance card, and let the care team know you are ready.
With the clinician
Use the note you brought. Describe symptoms in the order they appeared, and mention anything you have tried at home. If you do not understand a word the clinician uses, ask — they would rather explain than have you leave unsure.
Questions worth asking
- What is the next step, and who is responsible for it?
- When and how will I get the results?
- What should I watch for at home?
- Are there changes I should make before the next visit?
After your visit
Visit notes, test results, and follow-up instructions are posted to the patient portal. The portal sends an email when something new arrives, so you do not need to check it manually.
Prescriptions
Prescriptions are sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy. If the pharmacy is out of stock, contact the clinic and we can reroute to a different one.
Follow-up appointments
If a follow-up is needed, book it before you leave the clinic. The front desk can usually find a slot in the same week.
Insurance and billing
The network is in-network with most major plans. See the Insurance & payment page for the full list and for tools to estimate costs.
If you receive a bill
Bills include a description of each service, the amount your insurer paid, and the remaining balance. If something looks wrong, call the billing line before paying — most discrepancies are simple to fix.
Payment plans
Payment plans are available for balances over $250, with terms up to twelve months. Apply through the patient portal or by calling the billing line.
Accessibility
All locations are wheelchair accessible. Interpretation is available in many languages, including sign language interpretation by appointment. Service animals are welcome.
If you need an accommodation for your visit — a longer appointment, a quiet waiting area, a chaperone during an exam, or anything else — note it when booking, or call the clinic ahead of time.
Common questions
How do I get my records shared with another clinic?
Sign in to the patient portal, open the Records section, and choose "Share with another provider." You will need the clinic's name and address. Sharing is usually completed within one business day.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes. You may bring a family member, friend, or care partner. For some appointments, the clinician may ask to speak with you alone for part of the visit.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancellations and rescheduling are available through the patient portal, by phone, or in person. Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance so the slot can be offered to another patient.
Do you offer virtual visits?
Many specialties offer follow-up visits by video. Virtual visits are not suitable for every concern; the booking flow will tell you if a virtual option is available for your chosen specialty and clinician.
